Wahoooo - Save the Date's going out today!

Going to get dressed and head to the post office now! Gotta make sure none of them are over the $.44 postage.. they sure are puffy though.

I can't take credit for the idea - I saw these on Style Me Pretty first (I seem to get all my projects from there, eh?). They are vintage hankie's stamped with our custom monogram (yes, stamped not screenprinted bc I didn't want to invest in one.. consider these 'budget' save the date's, lol).

Here they are in all their glory:


I made wrap around address labels, and to go with our bird theme, each label has either 1 of 2 birdcages, or a bird nest. Plus the vintage bird image on our Zazzle stamps! (got them on sale for face value, otherwise we wouldn't have gotten them!)

    The knot of the ribbon made the envelopes a little poofy and the post office had to charge $.20 extra postage for each one since they were "non-machinable". At least they looked nicer with 3 stamps on them and I only have 30 so it was only $7 more but *whomp whoommpp*

    Eeva - NO WAY! I LOVE your Save the Date's!! So..er... can you add my bio to the list? hehe. I wanted it to be more complete first.. I still have lots more things to take pictures of!

    My pleasure!  You can wait if you like, but I think your bio already has tons of inspiration for the rest of us. 

    If you'd like it added, just answer these questions as best you can. 

    Wedding date: (month day, year)

    Retro/vintage era inspiration: (example: "1940s" or "General")  Please write "general" if you don't have a main era of inspiration, and are drawing inspiration from a variety of eras.

    Wedding colours: (main colour is written first, followed by accent colours)

    Wedding theme/Inspiration:  Include UNDER 10 WORDS describing your wedding inspiration/theme.  (example: WWII garden tea party)

    OMG - sooooooo cute - My mom actualy suggested that and I thought it would be so tacky but alas...insert foot in mouth....mom prevails and your STD's are just way too cute !!!!!!!!!!!!!
