We are using Midwest Video Productions of Illinois. We met with them and seend their work. They do a great job and we thought their prices were reasonable. They are very freindly and respond back to you quickly. A few others here are using them as well. Their website is http://www.midwestvideoproductions.com/

Butterflyfan, I got a couple questions for ya!  Do you know how recent the demos on the website is?  I like their prices, but their editing is just way to cheesy for me... with all of the transitions they do and stuff it just reminds me of a highschool graduation video.  Also, do you know if they have the still-shot capability (im not even sure if thats even the correct terminology! hahha, im so bad at this!)?  I really like that kinda stuff but cant find a reasonable videographer that does that and it didnt look like it from the videos.   I guess I can email them myself but before I do i thought id just like to get another brides view and what drew you in to them!

We are so excited to work with Orange Wedding Films and I would highly recommend looking into them if your wedding is in 2012...I think they are booked for the rest of the year...

Love is Bald, I would say contact them. I would assume their stuff is pretty current. I don't understand what you mean by cheesy? What video are you looking at? The stuff they showed me at their studio was really nice and the owner is very friendly.
You can ahave your video look about anyway you want. They told us, if we had a style we wanted, to let them know. Thing I liked about Dan was he said, this is your video, not mine, so make it the way you want it.

I highly recommend my cinematographer StillMotion - though they have gone commercial covering the NFL and other non-wedding projects for Canon and others.  I believe they still do weddings but are pretty selective...I don't think I would be able to book them today given their immense popularity and higher rates.

I know I am in the minority as video was one of the highest priorities so I saved a lot of $ to get them (didn't hurt that they are based in Canada and the exchange rate at the time was REALLY good).

Regarding local talent, I have heard good things about Delack Media, Orange Films, and Carbon 14 films.  If video is your thing, then I would recommend branching out an hiring someone from out of town.  Good luck!

Oh bummer!  I know, I was adamant that I did NOT want a videographer until another Knottie posted her wedding highlight video and it made me completely do a 180 on it.

Good luck with your search.  I'm sure you'll find a really wonderful videographer!

Studio 272-Cinematography. We just rec'd our full-length film last night and we are overjoyed. We're just speechless....Joel Witmer is one talented film maker. I'm forever grateful for his work and look forward to watching it all with the family and friends this weekend.

We booked George Street as our photog and video. When I was in the studio looking at some of them, I seriously teared up watching strangers wedding videos. Lol! Not cheesy, but really beautiful. I may have been PMS'ing though. :)
