Block Island Bacherlotte party HELP!

Anyone who has tried to travel to Block Island RI in the summer understands that there is a 2 night minimum for weekends. I am my good friends MOH and am planning the party. She very clearly wants a BI party and nothing else however others in the party do not want the expense of two overnights. The date is  Saturday 7/30/2011. Anyone else planning a BI bach partry that would be interested in trying to split a reservation for the Friday night perhaps?

Any suggestions as to places that take single night reservations?
Thanks

The bride should not be insisting on this. She should understand that everyone is operating on a budget.

You'll find the CT and Rhode Island boards under 'Local Boards,' blue column on the left of this page. Good luck.

Try the Rhode Island Board - but I lived in RI for 20 years and never went to Block Island.

You may want to try a house rental instead of a hotel? I doubt you'll find anywhere that doesn't have a 2 night minimum in the middle of the summer. Tell her to get over herself & plan the night in Newport.

Hi, I suggest that you just try to rent a room in Narragansett instead (although its likely a 2 night minimum-- but it will be cheaper).

You won't find a house to rent for one night.

You can camp out on the beach-- hey if that's up your alley there are spots! Or know someone with a boat you can sleep on. Or meet soem cute rich guys with a yacht...

    Sorry.. Can't help much.
Just go for the day and spend the night in gansett- there are fun bars there too, and block island clears out at night anyway. I think the last ferry out is at 9 or something- check online
