BM, they have a regular plus section in the stores- it's a hell of a lot bigger than Target's increasing shrinking section. There are a few cute things there. I have a decent amount of clothes from there.
The juniors plus is basically the same crappy quality cheap stuff as the juniors section that runs way too small and that we're all way too old to be wearing anyway. I think that's online anyway.
Not in Colorado. The one nearest me has no plus dept. at all. I've been in a few others: nothing. Some of the regular stuff goes up to 18, but that's it.
Sucks to be fat in the thinnest state in the union. But there's a Lane Bryant and a Target in the same plaza as the Kohl's, so they'll get my money, instead.
the I concur that the JR plus section at Kohls is pretty cheap, in general.
The 2 Kohls within a 5mi radius of my house both have a fairly nice sized womens' selection. They have a better variety online, but i'm always iffy with ordering clothes.
That's strange. I've never been to a Kohls without a plus section. But I think 97% of it is old lady.
I am very annoyed that it seems like Macy's is cutting plus out of some stores. Oh, did the fat lady population shrink (pun intended)? I don't think so.
Another fatty midwesterner here. Our Kohl's has plenty of plus size stuff. Jr. Plus is interesting, too. I can't imagine the body type is that different from regular plus - they could just put some more stylish clothes in the plain ol' plus department and everybody wins.
re: ordering online and returning in-store, double check first that you can do that. The last time I tried (admittedly, more than 4 years ago), they told me online was a completely separate business unit and they couldn't accept the return.
And I'll note that there's still no tall. Feckers.
DG - It's different in the same way that regular juniors is different from regular misses sizes - a little shorter and slimmer through the hips, and focussed on a younger audience. Also, I know from having been a plus sized junior at a time when no plus size junior departments existed, I hated going to the regular plus department full of old lady clothes. HATED.
Not that I'm still bitter about having to have my prom dresses sewn by my mom because no plus sizes existed in the stores then...no, not bitter at all. Grrrrrr.

You could order online and just return to the store. Online has a better selection anyway.

I just a friendly gal looking for options.

I think their plus stuff runs really big, I can get away with an XL from the misses a lot of the time. Or I just wear my clothes tight.
