Vendor Reviews!

Photograhper: Gregg Hejna A++++
I think my photos speak for themselves and I'm probably biased since I've known him since I was 4 years old and worked for him while in high school but those pictures are fantastic.  He really helped keep the flow of the day going.  He also kept me laughing and distracted when some things weren't going my way.

Venue: The Clubhouse on Baltimore B-
I was happy with the building, the Tudor Room was gorgeous.  I wasn't there for the cocktail hour but I hear it went great.  My major issue with the venue was that after both I and my mother communicated how many children were coming to the reception and would need children's meals there was a miscommunication between the venue and the caterer.  The caterer had NO children's meals.  I had to get up and ask a server what was happening, my mom had to go into the kitchen to get answers.  The kids were restless without eating and watching everyone else eat.  By the time the caterer scraped together meals for the kids all the adults had finished eating the buffet was being cleared.  The venue coordinator was also a little snippy at the end of the evening after the guests had left and we were picking up.  My intoxicated brother went behind the bar (he shouldn't have been back there but he wasn't getting more alcohol) and she yelled across the room at him, harshly.  We were under the impression that they were fine with us taking a half hour to 45 minutes to gather up all stuff but it didn't really seem like it that night.  On the other hand they were great with allowing us in to set up and letting DH and I go up on the roof to take pictures.  The venue coordinator was also really nice to me, my mom, and DH throughout the entire process.

Caterer: Brancatos A
I'm not sure what their part in the children's mix up was but they told us they weren't aware they needed children's meals.  The food was excellent.  Everyone complimented us on it.

Cake: Bridal Kitchen A
I finally had a piece of wedding cake today.  It was still good after being in the freezer for almost two weeks.  Moist and no freezer burn.  It was also GORGEOUS though DH and I didn't actually see it until our pictures were put up except from behind because things moved so quickly that night.  I think everyone liked it.

Flowers: Stems Studio A
Our flowers were gorgeous.  The centerpieces had a really modern edge to them which I liked alot.  Due to storms in Ecuador she couldn't get all the flowers I wanted but I really loved what she did.

Videographer: Romantic Reels A
Working with them was great!  We won't have the video for a few months so I'll have to reserve final judgement until then but I'm confident it will be wonderful.

Gown Gallery: AAA++++++
I LOVE THOSE LADIES!  I can't say enough good things about them.  My dress fit perfectly, the alterations were great, everyone I worked with was wonderful.  The day of the rehearsal I went to pick up the dress and they were still steaming it, I had to leave for the rehearsal so the owner asked me what time to bring it to the hotel and she was there right on time.  She carried up to my suite, found a place to hang it, pulled the train out so it wouldn't wrinkle, and fluffed my petticoat.  Loved them so much.

    Who was your venue coordinator? Was it Janis? Any other recommendations for making the reception run more smoothly? I'm definitely going to make sure I have stuff in writing from both TCOB and Brancato's! Thanks for the reviews!
