Speeches

Hi All! Wondering how you guys are working your speeches. We are having the best man and maid of honor and my little brother give their speeches the night of the wedding. The other members of our bridal party are speaking at the rehearsal dinner so that we don't take too much time on the night of the wedding doing speeches. Do we also have them say a little something at the rehearsal? I'd love to hear how you guys are coordinating this!

At our RH the only person who spoke was DH.

At the reception my dad did a welcoming/blessing/FOB speech and later the MOH and BM spoke.  That was all!

The speeches we are having for our wedding are: matron of honor, best man and my dad. I'm not sure if anyone will say anything at the rehearsal--it's only our bridal party and parents, so FI and I might just say thanks, etc.

Pretty sure we're going to do my uncle give welcome, MOH, Best Man at the wedding and my mom doing a prayer. Then at the rehearsal, FMIL do prayer and FFIL do a quick welcome.

That's pretty much what DH did.  Thanks for being here and supporting us this weekend as you have up until this point of our lives.  We're really excited for you to all be apart of our wedding.  Now they're go get some grub.  <I'm pretty sure he used the word "grub". Goofy.

We're doing an intimate reception-just immediate family and friends, and the BM really isn't the speech type, so, we're going to give a quick speech right before dinner to thank everyone for being there for us, and then we're going to let everyone know that we're opening the mic up for speeches-anyone who wants to give one can whenever their blood alcohol level makes them comfortable enough to do so.
This is a second wedding for both of us, so we're  just trying to keep it light and fun.

The only "speech" we'll have at RD will be FI saying our thank yous.

At the ceremony, we'll have the blessing and speeches by the BMs and MOHs.
