FI and I have been house hunting since last year at this time. We looked at a ton of houses and finally found one we loved. The owner, however, would not come down on the price AT ALL and we just can't afford it..... so we decided to rent for now. FI wasn't too happy about the idea at first, but I convinced him that it would be good in the long run for us- we can get our finances straight and take our time finding our house.
So, we found the house we want to rent. It's exactly in the middle of our parent's houses (we both still live with them). Same distance to work. Good price. and we are the very first renters. Our land lord has done a TON of work on the inside and it looks great! We were supposed to get the house March 1, then March 12, then March 19.. We finally signed the lease last night and get to start moving in this weekend! FI and I are SOOO excited! This is what makes it finally feel real to me!!
