skip hair/makeup trial

I am booked with Smart & Chic fo the day of. Do you think it is totally necessary to book a trial run?  I have pictures and am pretty laid back, so not likely to freak out if my hair isn't exactly how I pictured it. Trying to save $$ where I can. Thoughts??

I'm skipping my makeup and tattoo cover trial run, but I am going to go for a hair trial, just because my hair is pretty long and I'm having an updo, which might be more complicated than a down or half-up style.  Since the trials for each thing are $75 apiece, I'm cutting back where I think I safely can.  If you're okay with it not being absolutely perfect, I'd go ahead and skip it.

I'm doing a trial but it's mostly for fun, I don't think it's necessary. I've been in a few weddings & never had a trial for any of those. Always liked my hair & makeup so I'm sure I'll like it this time too. Smart & Chic bride has always done an awesome job (I booked them too after they did my sister's wedding last summer) so I trust them to make me look picture-ready :)

I didn't go with S&C for my wedding and my trial was at a discounted price, so I had one. However, I was VERY glad I spent the money for it.  I'm pretty picky about makeup and we had a hard time finding a lip color that I liked.  We ended up trying 7-8 before we found the right one.  Also, during my trial hair run, she had some suggestions on where to make some trims in my haircut to make my wedding day style work better and last longer (I had a half up/down do).

I also think you will be fine if you choose not to have one too, I was just glad to have the little tweaks out of the way before the big day.  It was one less thing for me to stress about.

I think you can skip the hair trial because if something doesn't look right it can be easily changed (for the most part) but I would definitely do a make up trial run. S&C does an amazing job but I am so glad I did a trial. The original colors for my eyes that I envisioned for the big day ended up looking bad on me so I talked with Julie about it and my makeup turned out flawless and gorgeous on the wedding day. If I didn't do the trial run, I would have probably hated the color on my wedding day.

I had S&C and had no trial- I didnt even book the girl til like 2 weeks out lol- and I loved my look and am glad I didnt waste any money on trials.  My MOH had her hair done at the same time too with no trial and both our hair (shorter, very thick and curly vs loooong and stick straight) looked great so the S&C girls def know what they are doing.

Who is your day of stylist??

Thanks for the thoughts/suggestions.  My PS will be Amber B.  I feel ok about skipping the hair trial, but now I am wondering about the makeup???
