How did you decide on you destination?? we origianlly wanted to go to Hawaii but found out they dont have any all inclusives available. And now we are having a hard time deciding where we want to go. All the places look the same and we arent super picky. we just want a beach and a good hotel and all inclusive. What were your deciding factors??

    Mostly budget, second distance, third privacy.  FI and I are not big partiers, so we wanted something that was sort of remote.  We are going to Sandals Whitehouse (I got a great black friday deal, otherwise my number 1 factor wouldn't have been met).  It has 2 miles of private beach, and it's the only resort in the area.

    Jamaica is about 2.5 hours by plane from Atlanta, so it's going to be an easy day of travel also.  It also means flights are pretty cheap - $400/person for direct roundtrip flights is a deal that occurs a lot out of Atlanta.

    I think you'll get a different answer from everyone. Choosing a HM destination is a personal thing and what each person is looking for is different. I recommend, based on what you said above, to scroll down and read a bunch of the posts on here. I'd say 75% of the girls on here, or more, are doing a beach all inclusive. There are tons of resorts out there that fit that criteria. Most of them are in the Caribbean and there is a wide variety of prices. Or, just doa  search at the bottom of this page for "all inclusive" and see the many posts that pop up. We have posts on here all of the time asking for recommendations for all inclusives with nice beaches. I'd also recommend talking with a travel agent. Tell them what you want- all inclusive, beach, nice resort, budget, and what it was abou Hawaii that you really liked. A good travle agent can offer you some great suggestions that meet your criteria.

    That being said, without knowing specifics, check out Secrets Resorts, Iberostar Grand, Couples Resorts, and Excellence Resorts.

    Ha.  Our decision was "Do they have AIs?  Yes?  We're not going there."  I like to travel and explore.  Our honeymoon hotel had breakfast and dinner included and I thought that was too much! 

    It really comes down to what you want to do, but most AIs have the same generic excursions.  I'd pick a hotel that has the ammenities that you want and you can get there via a direct flight.

    We did Hawaii because that was aways our dream HM and after my ILs said paying for a portion of it was their wedding gift to us, we could afford it after all. We wanted a tropical place, laid-back, gorgeous landscape and ocean, mild weather, lots of activities but also lots of opportunities to relax, and like I said, Hawaii had always been at the top of our list for HM destinations.

    We are also going to Sandals Whitehouse. Like hoffse, we wanted a low key resort, privacy and a nice beach. We also got a pretty good deal. There are a ton of AI resorts in Jamaica, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. We looked into many different ones but this resort seemed to be the best fit for the kind of HM we wanted. Good luck!
