We have a photo booth (through Rock the Booth) and we added on the scrapbook package. With that we will get a duplicate set of prints (one for the guests And one fornthe guestbook), and the photo booth attendant to put a set of prints into the scrapbok for our guests to sign.

We had a formal guestbook for names.  We had e-pics taken in NYC for my DH 40th b-day trip and they put together a photobook for us and we had guests at the reception sign it.

We made a photo book on Weebly.com full of pictures from our whole dating/engagement time, along with large white spaces for people to sign.  It turned out really nice!  A lot of people wrote us short messages (like yearbook style) not just signed their names.  It's fun to look through periodically.

We did a bulletin board with little tags (like you would use for scrapbooking) to have people write messages on.  I plan on using them when I put together our wedding scrapbook.

we used a traditional Guest book.  My aunt bought me the one that matched my toasting flutes & cake server as a shower gift, so I went with it.

Ours was just a boring old traditional guest book.  Only about 1/2 of our guests even signed it.  Maybe something fun and eye-catching will have better results for you.

We will have guests from literally all over the US and Poland at our wedding, so we want to do something like this, and have all the guests' cities represented on flags. People will sign the flag where they are from. I hope.

After the wedding, it will go in the man cave.

I'm actually doing something really similar to Abbey. My photographer is getting a book done for us. We're using some of our engagement photos and then just some photos that we've taken over the years. The cover will also be a photo, which is what I'm really looking forward to. :-)
