Difficulty finding a non-vintage style photographer

i love the look of vintage photo for cities, but I'm don't know if I like it for the outdoors (the trees look yellowish to me and the sky looks not vibrant). It seems all the top rated photographers (LA area) have a vintage style. I'm someone who photoshops my pictures to increase saturation! Please help. Thanks!

If only you were on the east coast, i know tons out here. What is your budget for photography? Have you considered looking outside your area and paying travel fees for a photographer? Most photographers are willing to travel to neighboring states/cities with reasonable travel fees. Some will even travel to any destination if travel is paid.

Hi there!  I'm a photographer myself (in TX), just browsing around the forums.  You should check out www.themoderntypeblog.com  or good "the modern type"  I had heard about her from Jasmine Star's blog.  -jasminestarblog.com-  She's not vintage at all...very natural, vibrant colors!

    Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the suggestion! I just contacted her! It's exactly what I'm looking for. I'm not sure how much she is though, so please keep the suggestions coming!

I've been looking all the way down from San Diego up to San Louis Obispo. My budget is somewhat flexible (I can just cut other things if it comes down to it) but I don't really want to pay for travel. I know these photographers are out there!

If you're looking for a 2012 date you should check out Erica Rose Photography based out of Chicago. She travels all over without additional charges, and her style is exactly what you're looking for (I think!)

Check out Unveiled Wedding Photography.  www.uveiledwedding.com. They are based in San Diego, will travel to LA, and their pictures are beautifully rich so you don't have that yellow 70's look that is so popular right now.  Tons of experience, good prices and great to work with.  They'll also send you some full weddings to view so you can see the consistancy of their work.

I know what you mean .. there's a lot of photographers infatuated with the vintage cross processing look currently. We try and keep all of our outdoor photos (and most of our photos overall) very true to color. We use correct lighting setups to really make the people 'pop' in the photos too - I love vibrant colors!
