Perrysburg Hilton Ballroom

Does anyone have any experience with the ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn in Perrysburg? I have 1/3 of the ballroom on hold for a small wedding (50-75), but I haven't seen the contract or tasted the food (which is included in the price). Any insight would be helpful.

I'm having my wedding there this July. We were considering 1/3 of the room for over 100 people so I think it'll be a perfect size for your wedding. We now have 2/3 of the ballroom since our guest list grew.

I also had my food tasting a few weeks ago and the food was amazing! We loved the stuffed chicken with goat cheese and the beef with mushroom sauce however, everything was delicious!

And Jenny has been great to work with so far!

We are also considering this venue for our reception. We haven't checked it out yet in person. Are their prices resonable?

This venue was goregous and the people very sweet, but for the amount of people we would be having (225-250) we were told we would need to spend at least $14,000 to be able to use the space we would need. This was more expensive than the Crown Plaza (min. of $12,000) and Parkway Place/Cambridge Place. We went with Parkway Place.

I have no personal experience there, so take my opinion for what it is worth (not much), but I have heard nothing buy good things about having a wedding there. Everyone I have heard from seems really pleased with the venue. I don't know if I have heard anything negative of significance about the P-burg Hilton.

I've only been to a wedding there. It was lovely, the food was good, the drinks were good. It just seems a little overpriced to me. The quality didn't blow me away. That being said, I still haven't completely ruled it out for myself, because the location is perfect for me. I also used to work at Fat Fish Blue across the street and still love the managers there. If there's a band playing it's nice to know after the reception, people can have an after party right across the street. No one will dream of getting in their car.

Actually after sitting down with Jenny today, I don't think the prices are that high, considering all that's included in the package. Granted, it is still on the higher side. Unlike a lot of other venues we've seen so far though, there is a champagne toast for all guests, a complimentary suite for us, chair covers and sashes as well at the cake included. If you decide to use an outside cake (like we have) they do take a couple of dollars off the per person price.

Anyone else have experience here? It's moved up on my list quite a bit.

We looked there for our wedding but decided against it. They gave us a minimum expenditure and it didnt really add up. In order to spend that much we would have had to order the most expensive item on the menu and then some (as I recall). We were only having around 100-130 people. However my sister in law used them as her hotel and for brunch the next morning. I heard that the hotel was very nice, but I wasnt to impressed with the brunch. It was a breakfast buffet and some of the stuff was cold(but I mean it was breakfast) I have heard great things about their dinner items though. I know this is being really picky but they set out a really nice wooden box full of assorted teas and never put out any hot water.(It wasnt empty they just didnt put it out) So I had to ask for it.

As far as the brunch I know a facility like that only puts out what the client orders so you can't really blame the hotel for the selections your friend made.

I didnt have a problem with the choices she made, it was that the food that should be hot(like eggs, hasbrowns sausage etc) was cold. Also there was no hot water for the tea(which I am sure she requested since the tea was out but there was nothing to make it with)
