Back on Track

I just had to celebrate!  I had done really well and lost almost 10 lbs and then gained half of it back.  Today at my weekly way in for weight watchers I was down 1.2 lbs after my first week back... SUCCESS!  Now if only I can maintain that level of good eating while at a conference in San Antonio TX this next weekend.  I'm determined to not slip this time around.

Re: Back on Track

  • I went to a nursing conference when I started doing weight watchers. I brought with my own non-perishable snacks and labeled their packages with the point value (i.e. 90 calorie fiber one bar =1 point). That way, I wasn't tempted to eat anything out of desperation at the conference. I also made sure that if they were feeding us, I ate half of what I was given, avoided desserts, and ate fruit (if it was an option). Water was also a big thing...it kept me full while not allowing me to throw my progress down the drain.

As for eating out while away from home...if you know the portion is going to be huge (as most dinner portions are), ask them to plate half and box the other half. That way you won't be tempted to munch if food is still left on your plate.
