Sushi Rehearsal Dinner near Hillsboro

Hey Hillsboro/Beaverton/Aloha people... I'm looking for Japanese restaurant recommendations for a rehearsal dinner. We're inviting all of the out-of-towners, so it needs to accommodate 40-50 people.

Because of the large guest list, it also needs to be somewhat affordable (Syun asks $75/head - eek!). We're hoping to stay closer to $20-$30.

Wassabi is big and hosts parties, but it's kind of noisy. We're hoping to find someplace cozier. Mio Sushi said no. We thought a conveyor belt place might be fun, but all of the ones I checked with said no.

Ideas?

    Have you thought about buying platters of sushi and hosting it at someone's house (if it is big) or in a public space (park if it is summertime)?  That is the cheapest way I can think of to get sushi for 40-50 people. Uwajimaya (Beaverton) sells platters; also, Ichiban (near Sunset HS off of Cornell) is a small family owned Japanese restaurant with amazing food and will make sushi platters for events.

    Good luck!  Sushi for a rehearsal dinner sounds delicious!
