Hotel suggestions

Our wedding will be at the Syndicate in Newport and I am looking for hotels near there to block rooms at.  Any suggestions?

    There is a Holiday Inn and Comfort Suites in Bellevue, which is only a few minutes away! The closest on to the Syndicate is the Travel Lodge, but I dont know if it is decent... Someone told me that it has been recently renovated and it is within walking distance  and has great views of Downtown- but I would go check it out before I told people to book there! Good luck!

    We didn't do a block anywhere (too many folks with different expectations- we had people staying in 8 different hotels).  We got ready at the Holiday Inn Newport, which was surprisingly nice (it was brand new at the time, I can't speak for it now).  We spent the wedding night at the Marriott Rivercenter.  Our room was small there, but the balcony was awesome.  Really, it's close enough to everything where it wouldn't matter too much.  I would avoid the Travelodge, personally.

    Embassy suites and marriott rivercenter are both great choices, and there is a trolley that goes between there and newport until like 10 I think that is really cute and only a dollar.  i stayed at ES for a bachelorette party recently and it was very nice and there was an awesome continental breakfast and COMPLIMENTARY cocktail hour!!!
