MFP Question

Today I did a 30 minute weight lifting workout.   Any ideas how to add that into MFP do I have to add each and every exercise individually?

Re: MFP Question

  • If you search in cardiovascular exercise for strength training, you can enter the minutes of that and it will give you an approximate burn. A word of caution though, I always assume that MFP over-estimates calorie burn, so only eat back about 75% of those calories burned :)

Hope that helps! Have a great day!

MFP underestimates my calorie burn by quite a lot. I wear a HRM and find the closest category to the type of exercise I'm doing. Then I enter in the number of minutes and the calorie read-out from my HRM. I've read that many HRMs can be off by 10%, so I subtract 10% before entering my number.
  • Thanks.  Silly me I was looking in the strength training section :)
