Lunch Reception

Our ceremony is going to be at 11:30 and then our reception is supposed to start at noon.  As of right now,  We have a buffet with 3 meats, 2 salads, 2 veggies, 2 starches, fresh fruit and fresh veggie appetizer, cake and then snacks at the end during the last hour.  Oh and we have a candy bar.  We have a very large guest list, so that is why we initially thought a buffet was a better idea, but I am wondering if that is not too much food for the middle of the day??? I know I don't eat that much.  I want my guests to be happy and definitely not starve at our reception, but I don't want to waste a bunch of food either.  Suggestions anyone???? What would you cut or change?

It sounds about right.  If I were going to an afternoon reception I'd probably be planning to eat a light dinner so I could splurge at the reception.

Very rarely would there be TOO much food at an affair. I think you'll be just fine.

If anything, I would choose between the last snack and the candy bar, but I think everything on the buffet sounds right because it gives options.  I doubt people would try a little of each and every thing.

It's better to have too much food than too little food. Plus you're giving your guests options.
