    My was typical:

    "I loved her first"

    Both my sister and I used it for our father-daughter dance because my dad LOVES that song.

    Also- Edwin McCain just came out with a new one called "Walk with you".

    My dad wants "don't blink" by kenny chesney.  I'm doing "my wish" with my godfather.
    Other choices were "i loved her first", "in my life" and an irish song that my mom loves, but we can't find a recording of it to play.

    We did "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. My father wanted something timeless/not trendy and nothing too sad.

    I had the hardest time with this because my dad didn't want any song that could possibly be considered a "love" song for a couple in love but also didn't like any songs about a dad and little girl.  It made it soooo difficult! So, my sister wrote a song and our band learned it and performed.  It was so great and there wasn't a dry eye in the place!
