Keep Austin Gorgeous or

Has anyone used them or talked to them? I swear I've seen something on them.  I saw them at the Bridal Show and it's the closest I've come to finding the style I'm looking for: big cured hair down, airbrushed makeup, fake lashes. Help please! Thanks!

If you look at messages from about 2-4 weeks ago, there are some on Brizy Tait, one of the girls at KAG.

Here is the thread on KAG, which is owned by Brizy Tait. http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/local-wedding-boards_texas-austin_short2010wedding

I was really unhappy with her, although my hair and makeup were for the most part what I wanted. She just sucked the fun out of my whole morning, which should have been a fun time with my mom and best friends. The other girls she brought in were really sweet and fun, and everyone left with great hair and makeup, so Brizy is good at what she does. I was just really unhappy with her attitude, and how difficult she was to deal with throughout the whole process.

I knew I had read something not too good about her.  Thanks for helping me find the link.  If she's that flaky and difficult I definitely don't want to use her.  Any other recommendations? I need someone who can do my hair down with clip in extensions and a makeup artist (preferably airbrush) willing to do something totally glam...lashes, smokey eyes, etc.

I actually really really loved Brizy.  She did a phenomenal job on my  hair and makeup for my wedding and it lasted all day (from 6am to midnight).  Her prices we reasonable and she really knew her stuff.  She made me look and feel fantastic.  I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves, though: http://www.flickr.com/photos/susibrister/sets/72157621946286303/?page=3

I just had my trial hair and makeup done by Brizy, and she did a really great job.  I had a trial with a different salon a few weeks before and had a bad experience--the hair was nothing like what I wanted and was messy, and the makeup turned out OK, but they didn't have the tools or skill to do what I really wanted.

So, I went to Brizy and she did a great job on my hair and a great job on my makeup too.  She was good about asking me if what she was doing was what I wanted, and had no problem changing things if I said "no".  I will say that she is kind of pushy with recommending other services--lash extensions, hair cuts, color, eyebrow threading.  She also swore that I needed to use a volumizer and a curl enhancer on my hair the day before the wedding to give it the texture she needed to make my updo look the best, and of course I had to use products that her salon sold, which I purchased.  But, I drew the line at buying custom blended extensions so I would have more hair for her to work with for my up do.  I can handle all of this if I get a great updo and makeup application on the day of my wedding, and all 10 of my bridesmaids are happy with their hair and makeup as well.  I'll let you all know how it goes!

I used Brizy for my wedding last July and she did a really nice job! It's true that she was a little pushy as far as selling products at my trial, but overall the hair looked great and the makeup stayed on all day and night, which is all I could have asked for!

Here's a picture of my hair when it was almost done...
