Embassy Suites KCI

Brides,

Has anyone attended a wedding at the Embassy Suites KCI? I'm stumped I have yet to find a venue that I love. HELP!

I expect to have a number of guest from out of town so I would prefer to have everything in the same place. I LOVE the Sheraton in Overland Park, but the food minimum on a Sat. is more than I want to spend.

I'm open to suggestions........

I have a friend who had her reception there and I don't remember her talking about any problems.  They're renovating right now and it was pretty to begin with.  Definitely worth looking into.  There is a bride having her reception there, Jenn(then a bunch of numbers) is her screen name.

Thanks Nichole for responding. Are you getting nervous?

No, I'm just really, really excited.  It still seems surreal.

    What venue did you select?

I have heard good things, but never been there.I've also heard good things about the Hyatt near the airport I personally found a lot of hotels were overly priced (in my opinion). There was this place in Liberty that we really liked, and you can bring in your own food and drinks and the room was very resonable. We loved it because everything could happen there if we wanted, it was HUGE and there are like 5 hotels near it. It's called Herritage Hall in Liberty MO....maybe it would be worth checking out!

Also, The Loretto a lot of people like, they have a BEAUTIFUL place for a ceremony and then the basement is where you have your recepetion, same with CLUB 1000. (I toured both of those places) One other suggestions would be Californos in Westport (you can have your ceremony outside---and it's all inclusive--don't be shocked by the price though, because once you add it up, it's a pretty good deal). I hope that helps you :)

I'm having a church ceremony and my reception at The Clubhouse on Baltimore using the Lobby for our cocktail hour and the Tudor Room for the reception.

I am having my wedding at the Embassy Suites in October 2010. I have nothing but great things to say about them! They have an AWESOME wedding coordinator, Shilene Allen. I think they are fairly reasonable with prices and everytime I have gone to ask questions they have gone above and beyond!! They are renovating the hotel and will actually have it done by October. I think it looks great! I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend them!! They are awesome to work with!! And they take care of basically everything - setup, teardown etc. They let you try the food, have a great list of recommended vendors. Anytime I wanted to stop in and measure something or whatnot (so far it's been like 6 times) they have been great about it! I would DEFINITELY recommend them! Private message me if you have any more questions!! Best of Luck!

Thanks Ladies for everything. I will look into The venue in Liberty, thanks MLC 613. The Embassy Suites is right around the corner from our home. We are off Tiffany Springs Road so it is perfect. I will contact the Ms. Allen.
