Changing the date- Wedding planning blues

Has anyone else encountered wedding planning blues? planning has become such a chore and not fun anymore. I would much rather elope but know I will regret not having the wedding even if its a small one. So my Fiance and I decided why wait? we want to change the date again ( it went from May 2013 to June 2013) to any date in 2012. Is this normal? I feel like if I ask my venue, I am being such a difficult bride.

    Totally normal to go through an emotional roller coaster planning a wedding. It's a lot of work and stress for one day. I went through many different phases. Rest assured that now, looking back, I have mostly positive memories of the planning and know that it was all worth it! I believe you will, too. You're planning your dream day, a day to cherish with your husband from now until eternity and you want to make it everything it can be. My biggest piece of advice - don't forget to do things other than planning! Have a wine night with your girlfriends and don't talk about the wedding. Go on a date with your FI and do whatever it is you guys enjoy going out to do together. Ultimately, that's what this is all about and for.
    As for changing your date, you're completely entitled to change it if it's available. It could be persieved as a little difficult, but in the end you're the customer and you're paying them a lot of money for this, so don't be shy. Ask for what you want. They aren't going to just offer it. But, be prepared that they won't have anything available. You'll probably have more options, like i2012do hints at, if you don't mind late fall or early winter this year. You'll never know until you ask!

    @ i2012: It was so refreshing to hear that im not the only one who goes through phases. It definitely made me feel better.
