Wedding Insurance -Suggestions?

I need to get general liability insurance to provide to my wedding venue. I need to make sure the facility landlord's name and my name are on the certificate. I am a little nervous about some of these online sites. Does anyone know of any reliable vendors for wedding insurance, who aren't too expensive? (Like $150 or less.)

Re: Wedding Insurance -Suggestions?

  • I don't think I would go through an online vendor.  I haven't ever looked into getting this type of insurance, but check with a major insurance company like All State that carries multiple types of policies.  They may be able to help you.

  • I agree with PP. I would check with whoever you have your renters, home owners or auto insurance through.

  • Call your car insurance, home insurance, etc. They may offer you a bit of a discount if you already have a policy (or policies) with them.

  • My mother added a rider to her insurance for the venue.

  • We went via Travler's Insurance and used their online ordering.  It was super easy, super clear as to what you got/didn't and how much.

I know we paid about $500 total, but we got more than just liability.

  • wedsafe.com is a popular one on here. I chose 1m/1m limits, used your wedding date, your state, and the price was $175.
  • is anyone getting cancellation insurance?

  • I am. I just haven't yet.  In the grand scheme of things its not really going to cost that much money.
