How can I dress up picnic tables?

The venue we chose for the ceremony has picnic tables in it. We can get them removed for an extra $150 but we are on a tight budget. So i'm wondering if anyone has any ideas to dress them up a bit so we can still use them but i don't want it looking cheap. Or should we just pay the extra to get rid of them and rent chairs?

    Your post is a little confusing - are you saying that your guests would be sitting at picnic tables for the ceremony and the reception will be elsewhere?  If that is the case, I think you should have the tables removed and rent chairs. 

    If the reception will be at the same location as the ceremony and you will be using the picnic tables for the reception, then I think it's okay to have the guests sit at their tales during the ceremony.

    What do the tables look like? Are they in good condition?

    Depending on what look you are going for (eclectic or everything matchs) you could go to Goodwill or a second hand store (depending how good those storse are around you) and buy cheap table cloths in the colors of your wedding. Goodwill has $1.49 tuesdays, everything of a certain color tag is $1.49 no matter what the price tag says. You might have to go several tuesdays for this idea to work.
