    I highly recommend the Surf City center on Topsail Island.  I had my wedding there is Sept. and it was prefect!  The building is right on the beach. So we had our ceremony on the beach and the reception just inside.  It was a beautiful location and an incredible price!

    My grandmom was ill leading up to the wedding. So I looked into arrangements for her to get on the beach easily and comfortably.  The center is night next to a large public access point with wheel chair ramps that lead on to the beach. Also, the town of Surf City has wheel chairs that are made for the sand that they loan out. My grandmom ended up not being able to make the wedding, but we had everything in place in case she did come.  The guys at the Surf City Center were wonderful and helped me make all the arrangements to accomodate her.

    We're getting married at the Southport Community Building. It's so pretty and reasonably priced. GL

    I second the Surf City Center. They were great to work with and very affordable for a beach location!

    My sister got married at the Soutport community building and it was beautiful!! My fiance and I were going to have it there but we are trying to have it somewhere no one in the family has had it :)

    Im not sure what your budget is, but we looked into the Blockade Runner at Wrightsville beach. It has a beautful ceremony site in the back and its grass that overlooks the ocean. I will warn you that it is very pricey! You have to use their catering and their alcohol if you wish to have it.

    The reason we turned down the blockade runner besides the $57 per person for food was their back-up room. If for some reason it were to rain....they have a room you can use and it is HORRIBLE! so you pretty much have to weigh your pros and cons... :)

    My fiance and I were born and raised here so if you have any questions let me know! I am sure we have looked into them :)

    I'm getting married at Southport Community Center.  The Isles at Ocean Isle Beach is really nice, and I've also heard that someone is getting married at the Marina in Southport.
