MIA/updates all around please!

Sorry I've been MIA lately, ladies. I've been very busy trying to get all the details done. Also, since I'm no longer tied to my computer every waking moment for school, I'm just on here less. 

The good news is that I am just under three weeks. I cannot believe it's coming up so fast! I finalized the rehearsal, RD menu, and FSIL is getting out those invites for FMIL. I spent Thursday w/FMIL, saw her dress (so pretty!) and had a nice day, including shopping and wine tasting. Saw my mom's dress - it's gorgeous, too. 

This week, I have to meet with the videographer, finish up our ceremony details, drop off swatches to the baker and the florist. I also am going to book our honeymoon (finally) and track down all my relatives who seem to think that RSVPing was optional. Much more, but that's the tip of the iceberg.

What has everyone else been up to? What are plans for this week?

    I'm hoping things are about to kick into high gear, with the wedding just under 6 weeks.  FI and I spent our last "free" weekend together before the wedding. (He works every other weekend, and we have plans for all of his weekends off from here until the wedding!)  We did a little shopping around Freeport, and went to dinner at my favorite, 99! 
    This week begins the craziness... We have meeting with the DJ and our second dance lesson on Wednesday, a meeting with our pastor next Friday.  I must get in touch with photobooth and cake vendors to make sure everything is on track.  Also, trying to get programs done, and a rough draft of a seating chart. 
    I'm hoping that the RSVPs are going to start rolling in again, since we only got about 4 last week.  Why people must wait until the last minute is beyond me. (Although I only have about 20 parties missing, and FI has 53, so he has much more calling to do, lol)
    Looking forward to our Jack and Jill bachelor/bachelorette party in two weeks.  Hope all you ladies have a fun and productive week :)

    Wow, you ladies are so close!!  So exciting!!!!!  

    My FI is away this week so I'm hoping it's going to be a wedding project week!  We are 90% done with the invitations (goes quickly when there are only 26 to do - yay!) and this week I am going to focus on finishing up as many of my floral items as I can.  I have one of our floral letters, some pomander balls, and flower girl wands left to make for florals.  So out comes my glue gun!

    My week will be almost 100% focused on work with very little time for wedding stuff.  I was out last Wednesday-Friday chaperoning a field trip to Quebec, so I have a lot to catch up on when I get back tomorrow.  I've got two late nights at work too, including volunteering at a spaghetti dinner for one of my students who has cancer, so who knows what time I'll be home from that.  My first fitting is next weekend so that might be the only real wedding related thing that happens this week!

    OMG I haven't been on here in a few days and instant anxiety!  I feel like I have so much to do and I have no idea what it is.. So yeah I'll be running around like a chicken with my head cut off for the next 5 weeks and hope it all works out :)

    i've felt super overwhelmed. i still have three and a half months to go, but i feel like i have no decor items started...plus i can't decide on what i even want the wedding to look like!

    i'm hoping to pick up some lights, return some chargers i bought then decided i didn't want, and maybe attempt to make some jewelry.

    Wow I really should not be panicking them since I have 5 months to go.  LOL
    My future SIL is starting her own invitation Co and offered to design our invites for us. We meet with her today and decided on how they will look. I left feeling a little overwhelmed when she brought up programs, escort cards, menus, signage. WHAAAAA!!!
    I sort of feel in the same boat as Jeleny. I sor of have a way that I would like it to look but have no clue about what type of fonts I like, designs for signs, and if it will all look good together. Sounds like I can slow down a bit and take time.

    I have been MIA this weekend.  We had a friend visiting, so we went hiking in Bar Harbor one day and went down to Portland yesterday.  My friend came with me to my seamstress and learned how to do the bustle and corset, which was exciting.  

    We met with our officiant yesterday on the way home, and after a very lengthy conversation feel like we know what we will be doing (we're not having a separate rehearsal).  I have to figure out who is going to take various things for me, because I'm not having a wedding party, but I figure I can ask our witnesses to hold things during the ceremony.  I might end up getting them small gifts now, but I like gift shopping, so that's not too big of a deal.

    I woke up this morning after a terribel dream where it was our wedding day and we were as prepared as we are right now.  We were driving around trying to find a ring for me (a required part of a Jewish ceremony), and I wasn't going to have time to get my hair done.  I just woke up thinking of all the stuff we have to do :(.  But our invitations went out Friday!

    Sounds like everyone is surging ahead with the progress! Wow. We're all busy ladies. :)

    Dmcphee - my deadline for RSVPs passed last Wednesday and I'm still waiting on roughly 40 people. I did track down a few last night though, and today I intend to call more people. I just don't get why 1. they wait if they know they are coming and 2. why everyone takes the "respond by" date to be a "send by" date. 

    Cgal- Pics after your projects are finished, please! :)

    Hcorrigan - have fun at your first fitting!!! Good luck w/all the work catch up. :(

    jpickering - you will get it all done. Is there anything that can be delegated? I'm at the point where not much can be, which sucks...

    Jeleny - pic, please of the jewelry! 

    Bewell - how cool is that that your SIL is starting an invited company! Wow! Again, please show us what your final design is. :) I know it can be overswhelming to pick everything out. It was a lot to sift through when I looked at all of those things.

    JessicaBessica - that's great that you have your ceremony all set - that must be a huge check off the list!

    I'm even slow on the update update lol.

    Well its 4 months tomorrow for me, and I alternate between feeling organized and clueless. This week the invitations arrived and I was so excited my mom, sister and I stuffed them all right away. So now they are sitting in my moms kitched ready to mail out. We figured out our RD drama and switched venues which was a huge weight off my mind. All the big stuff is done. Now I just need to do some of the DIY and smaller things which I am floundering on. I think I have figured out favors, I need to work on table numbers and placecards, and music and programs at some point fairly soon. Classes for the summer semester start today though, blah!

    There are so many brides with weddings coming up so fast - exciting!!

    H&S--I always oscillate between feeling completely on top of things and totally behind, I know what you mean.  It happens to me about wedding planning, work deadlines, exams (when I was in school), bleh!

    Glad to have you back.  As of today FI and I have a whopping 4 months!  I'm starting to go crazy because of all the stuff I have laft to do.  On friday FI and I went to Andreas and picked up the bridesmaids dresses! They are absolutely gorgeous!  The color is perfect and I am so happy with them. 

    Today I am meeting with one of the bridesmaids and my Nana and we are beginning the alterations to the BM dresses.  My Nana also began making the flower girl dress last week.

    Those are my biggies that I have accomplished in the last few days.

    I was at a hair show all weekend with the salon I work at, so I'm slow on the updates too! I'm meeting with the woman who is doing our cake this week, forcing myself to call and cancel our awesome caterer now that we have a new venue, make a decision on flowers and how we're getting them..mostly trying to wrap up loose ends that I've put off. We're under 100 days now and Friday marks 3 months to go! I have so much to do and with everyone breathing down my back I've started to lose motivation. I'm hoping this past weekend was the break I needed to get my wedding mojo back!
