Looking for a good Jeweler

Hi all, I am new to the New Orleans area and my engagement ring broke!  I'm not sure what happened but one of the prongs that holds in the stone is completely bent.  I have a really great jeweler where I used to live up in Delaware, and I think it's going to be hard to find someone I trust enough to fix my ring.  Does anyone know of a good jeweler in the Kenner/New Orleans area?

Thanks!

  • My engagement ring and wedding bands are from  Friend & Co.  They are located uptown and one of the owners, Ken Friend, has been great to deal with.

My fiance got mine from Aucoin Hart on Metairie Rd and they are amazing! The service is awesome and I would trust them the most out of other places in the area! I recently moved out of town, and I needed to get my ring resized and didn't want to go back to Texas without it. I brought it to them on Saturday at 11am and it was ready by 2! Hope this helps :
  • my engagement ring and both of our wedding bands are from Symmetry Jewelry which is uptown New Orleans. The people there are amazing, I can't gush about them enough. They do their work in house and everyone is sooo nice. Every time i go in they want to polish my ring for me. Love them.

  • My ring is from Ramsey's on Veterans. All they do is diamonds, so I totally trust them with my rings. FI is the one who went and got the ring, but I did bring it in for a new appraisal and cleaning. They were really nice, and they do repairs and such in shop.

That is so scary, good luck! I hope you find someone you like and trust.

  • Ditto on Aucoin Hart.  Their craftsmen are all on site so they won't have to send your ring out of the store to get everything taken care of.
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
  • Thanks everybody!  I feel so much better now.  I'm going to try out Aucoin Hart since it got 2 suggestions and it's not far from my house.

    I relaly appreciate the advice!
  • Great choice! : Let us know how you like them!!
