Photographer--engagement only!

Help! We only need an engagement photographer from the DFW area, we're getting married in the Midwest, where I'm from originally, and already have a wedding day photog.
I really would like to get our engagement photos done before the holidays (wedding is July 28, 2012), and SixFourteen, my first choice is unavailable until January. Anyone have some other photogs they've used and could recommend? Or should I just bite the bullet and wait till January for SixFourteen? Thanks knotties!

    I don't know if she's booked or not, but we had a blast doing our engagements with Shauna (K&S Photography)! My siggy photo is from that session.

    We just got our e-pics done this past weekend! The few sneeks that we saw were awesome and  can't wait to see the rest. Poetic Exposure is his business  and the photographers name is steve. He's really well priced but the deal is that he doesn't have an assistant helping him so he does everything on his own. Good luck!

    I love my photographer, Stacie Tatum Photography. She did our e-pics as well as our wedding.

    My wedding photographer is Stefanie Hampton Morrow (hamptonmorrowphotography.com).  I think she is $350 for an engagement session, which includes all your digital negatives and (I think) a photobook.  She didn't do my engagement pictures, so I can't remember what's included in her package.

    We aren't doing engagements, but I really like our photographer. www.dallasclassicphotography.com. I think they are 300 bucks.

    I love SixFourteen! If you don't need the pictures ASAP then I'd wait. He's worth it :)

    Oh, I also really like the photos Chelsea McGowan takes.  She's done a ton of Knottie e-pics and weddings.

    I think all of the PP have given you great recs, OP!  I definitely second the suggestions for McGowan Images and SixFourteen.  I also love Stacie Tatum's work as well.

    We decided on Sixfourteen in January. I came to the conclusion that this time of year is so bloody crazy... it seems justified to wait until the hussle and bussle is over! Thanks for all your suggestions, I may use one for bridals or boudoir yet! :)  These boards (all you knotties!!) are priceless for peace of mind when it comes to selecting vendors! Thanks again!!
