Suggestions in Mason Area

My fiance and I are getting married in May 2012 and just booked Christ Church at Mason for our ceremony and have the Voice of America Banquet Room booked for our reception! That's all we have done right now. I know it's still early, but I'm looking for suggestions on other vendors that are reasonably priced. We are keeping the wedding between $10,000-$13,000. If anyone has suggestions on florists, bakeries, photographers, etc., I'd love to hear them! Thanks so much ladies!

We used Flying Buttercream for our cake and could not have been happier. The price and the cake were both amazing. Our 4 tiered cake to serve 180 was just under $400.

As for photography, we used Lisa Rice who is out of Columbus. She was $1800 and that included our e-pics as well as our wedding photos. I think her prices have gone up a bit since we booked her, but she does an amazing job.

We used Susan Foy The Wedding Designer for our flowers.  I felt she had our vision, but most importantly to us, she gave us a lot of flowers for our money.  She doesn't turn down any budget.

For photography, we used Tracy Doyle.  Her packages start at $1.9k.  We're very confident about her.  We also used Lisa Rice for our engagement photos.  We were lucky she was offering shoots for a good deal in Cinci and we happened to be free that day.

For hair, Michelle Marx with Marxey Makeup.  Faux eyelashes and trial are included in the price.  That was really nice.

For your dress, if you're within the sample dress size (8-12), go to the Bridal and Formal annual tent sale that's usually in September.  If you find your dress there, you wil save a ton.

We splurged for videography and we went with Dan Shallenberger from Poetic Cinema.  We love his work.  He's right in the middle, above the $1k range but below the $3k range.

I used Marilyns Cakes for my cake; very good and super cheap. www.marilynscakes.com.

For makeup, I used Sarah Cormier, www.sarahcormier.com. AMAZING. She was wonderful, very nice and also very reasonable prices.

For flowers, I used Oakwood Designs. They do no advertising and are strictly a word of mouth business. Call Rosemary at 513-236-3551. They are super fantastic and also the most affordable florist I found. Excellent!

We are using Cakertainment by Amy for our cake. She bakes out of her home. Very very reasonable. About 1.75 a slice. Our cake is 3 tier serving 100 and it was 210!!! She is great! Amandapetryphotography (Amanda Petry), or Jamie Bristow with Ron Wood Photography. Both amazing!

If you still haven't gotten your dress I would suggest Lillian's in Centerville. I bought my dress there off the rack in a 16. In my opinion it has a much nicer feel to it than the dress shops on Bridal Row. They do have an inhouse cat though so keep that in mind if you have severe cat allergies.
