Good Morning Ladies!
Let's start with a question... do you have a room designated for crafts? If you do, care to share a pic? If you don't, but have a dream craft room in mind, share a pic of that instead

Personally, I do not have one... yet. At the new house (we are currently having is designed), I have asked to have a craft/hobby room. These are some of my inspirations:
Now onto this week's topic.... Vellum Paper!
When I was first looking for ideas for the wedding, I came across lovely candle luminaries that I wanted to use for table numbers. I also then wanted to use the same style for a memorial candle. The glow from the candle through the translucent paper was just beautiful. I almost ordered them from Etsy but held off; and I'm glad I did because it is probably one of the easiest DIY projects out there!
Vallum paper can be found at Michael's (and this week, the 12x12 sheet is on for 3/99cents) or I would also recommend Paper and More. If you have an inkjet printer, you can create your own luminaries at home (laser can work but not as well). You can create whatever design, message, size or shape you'd like! They would make lovely table numbers, place cards, menu items, and of course memorial candles.
My weekend project was a memorial candle for the reception. My venue does not allow open flame (has to be 1" below the top of the holder) so I could not use the paper directly on the candle. I decided to decorate the vase which will hold the candle instead.
MY recipe:
Sheet of Vellum Paper
Printer
Candle Vase (Dollar Store)
Ribbon
Glue dots
Bling
I designed the image in photoshop and printed. Glued the paper to the vase and decorated - that simple!

I will also be recreating something similar to the picture below to add to our wedding programs:
I'll let you know how it goes

Do you have any other vellum paper projects to share??
Let's see them!
