How are the beaches in Costa Rica? We've considered getting married there but I just LOVE the water color of the Mayan Riveria.

Thoughts?

    Hello! I found the beaches in Costa Rica to be very nice. That's comparing them to beaches in Thailand and Jamaica as those are the only tropical places I've been. Sorry I can't really compare them to Mexico :( Was supposed to go there for a wedding in May '09, but it was cancelled due to the swine flu outbreak.


    Anyway, some of the beaches are a surfers paradise, and then others are calmer from what I saw. The beach our resort is on (Playa Conchal) is considered the most beautiful beach in CR. Apparently it has old crushed shells in the sand that makes it sparkle. Pretty cool.

    We won't be getting married on that beach though bc the government has forbidden weddings on Playa Conchal. Not sure why, but I have been told this also might change. But that is okay with me. We will be married on the neighbouring beach Playa Flamingo which is also beautiful.
