Should have numbered

I don't know why we think our guests are smarter than others. I should have numbered them I know will be everyones response but today I recieved a RSVP marked that they are coming which made me so excited. Then I looked at the name and there wasn't one! Seriously people that's the first thing you do. Didn't we learn that in school? So I posted it on FB and I finally got an answer as to who it was. My moms best friend/cousin and her family at least we know but still.

Re: Should have numbered

  • Another way to decipher who sent it is by the state/town on the usps stamp thing. I didn't number the RSVPs, but so far we haven't had any problems. People probably forget like when you forgot your name on your homework or something.

Glad you figured out who it was :)

  • Ha, I made the same mistake! I even filled the names in for our guests but I put Mr and Mrs X but..... in some cases there are more than one Mr and Mrs X, oops!! Numbering would have come in handy then, oh well!!

  • I numbered...but I actually got some complaints that people felt like they were "lower on the list" because they were a higher number.  Ummm, I did it alphabetically people!  Your name is "R"...you're not going to be #1.  lol /mini-vent

  • Heather, how funny! I would probably laugh at someone if they did that to me.

I wanted to number mine but completely forgot in the last week when I was rushing to get them sent out. No problems so far, fingers crossed our guests are "more intelligent" haha

  • I wrote everyone's name on the card for them, this was also my way of making sure people didn't invite a plus one :)

  • I did the same as one PP and filled in their name and address on the RSVP envelope for them. I had one come in with no name on it, but I just looked at the envelope it came in so I could see who it was.

  • I tried the city it came from but it's the same city I'm in along with about half our guests.
  • I wrote the name and the number of seats on the postcard... but I think I do have two with the same name and number! Eep.

  • I numbered mine on the back of the rsvp with an invisible ink pen! It came with a little black-light clicky thing on the end of the pen... it was so cool! Haha, FI loved playing with it!

  • I made return address labels with just the address, city, and state and put them on the RSVP envelopes. That way if I do get one back without a name, I can just look at the return label I made. haha
  • I custom made every single RSVP with peoples names already on them. And next to the name I put a box for Will attend and a box for will not attend. So I have had absolutely no problems. knock on wood ;)
