We're getting close to the weekend! What's everyone up to?  I don't have much planned, thank God!  I need some time to get cleaning done AND relax, and I'm glad I won't have to choose between the two!

    Weekends never register in my mind, as a weekend, that is, becasue I work. 

    So Tuesday I'm having minor surgery (prayers please), ironically on that day because its for female issues. The charting is showing some abnormal bleeding, most likely a polyp. Making sure its not pre-cancerous. My doc is awesome. He was showing me the instructions for anesthesia-- don't eat past midnight. He said, "if you wanted, you can have a tiny piece of the body of Christ in the morning".  He prays with his patients before surgery, and gives them rosaries made out of string so they can be in the operating room. 

    So on Monday, I'll be going to confession, then a priest friend is offering mass for me, and will be anointing me. a few friends are coming to that and then dinner. 3 sacraments all at once. I'll be glowing. I'm pretty excited about it because we're doing this at the seminary, and it was just renovated...the guys just moved back in a month ago.

    We are dog sitting until Sunday and the dogs got dropped off this morning so they will keep us entertained most of the weekend. Tomorrow we also have a birthday dinner for a friend and then I also have Monday off, but H is in charge of planning a party for his office for the Inauguration Parade so I've been helping him out of with that. His office overlooks Navy Memorial and is right along the parade route. We decided to spend Sunday night on an air mattress in his office because he has to be there early to have everything set up and all the roads and his metro stop will be closed Monday morning. I am really looking forward to it and think it will be awesome to get to see the parade from H's office.

    Resa, my weekend sounds pretty similar to yours.  We need to give our condo a good deep clean, and should really make more headway on our wedding thank-yous.  I really wanted to get them all out before the three month mark, but with the holidays and everything after the wedding, it just got away from us.  Whoops!

    Carrie - hope all goes well with your surgery.  Sounds like you have a really great and supportive doctor.

    Also, a lot of us in my office have really been trying to eat healthy lately, but we have declared today "cheat day" and are going out for lunch for some yummy pasta.  Can't wait!
