Dress Came Too Early!

Not only am I still waiting for the ring, I ordered my dress on Monday and it came on Thursday of the same week! The consultant told me 16 weeks, but apparently the warehouse had my size waiting for me. My wedding isn't until Novemeber 21st!! Where's the best place to store the dress until then???

I would say that the safest place to store it would be the BSC lounge.  They have a special closet for wedding gowns of unengaged women who have already set the date for their wedding.

Need directions? Go straight down Uranutcase Drive, then take a left on MUD Rd.  It will be the third building on the right.  If you got to the place where I slam my head on the desk, you've gone too far.

I have no idea who you are, but I really hope by, "Not only do I not have the ring" you mean, "We are engaged but he hasn't gotten the ring yet."

In which case, yes. The closet is a good place for a variety of garments.

Hopefully thinking maybe you mean the wedding band... Anyway I was told to wrap the dress in a solid white sheet. That apparently helps protect it. Put it in a garment bag after that and store it in your closet. It should be fine.

I really hope you don't mean you're still waiting to get engaged. If you are still waiting then why in the world did you even go to try on dresses let alone order one??

But to answer your question put it in the closet

I really hope you mean your engaged but your ring is off being sized or something.  Because if you ordered the dress without being engaged then I might turn into an uppity bitch.

If you are engaged put it in the closet, out of the light.

ummmmm.... if the dress came before the engagement ring, you ordered it too early.  Like waaaay early.  and yeah, the dress place should give you a bag to store it in, a closet that's clean, dust free, moth free, and maybe has a air freshener hanging in it is ideal.

By this do you mean that he bought it and proposed, only to find the ring was too big/small so now you're waiting to get it back from the jeweler?

If not, does "future FI" (as the bee bee's like to say) know your getting married in November and have your dress already? If not I'd let him know so he can get his tux rental and let the groomsmen know if you haven't done so already.

Well if you're wedding is in <6 months, I sure hope you're engaged!  If that's the case, closed is a good plan.  That's where my dress has been for the past 5 months (well my closet, not yours).

You should wear it in. I suggest wearing it to work, grocery shopping, or out on a date.

Mango-- Is your closet tall enough? I would be so worried it would be squooshed on the floor.

I didn't even have an account on the knot before FI got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. How exactly is it possible that you are not engaged yet but you have a wedding dress and a wedding date less then 6 months away? Does your Future FI know that you have a dress and a date?

Of course! I was so shocked by the fact that the dress and date came before the engagement that I totally forgot about the possibility that this could be a suprise ice rink wedding. :)

Either that, or she could use it as a Halloween costume.
