Do you believe in love at first sight?  Did you have this with your FI/DH?

I believe in lust at first sight.  I think you need to get to know someone before you fall in love.  And no, this was not the case for me and DH.  He thought I was hot and I thought he was odd.

Not love at first sight, per se, but I do believe in having that feeling of knowing someone is the one, shortly after meeting them.

I felt this way with my H- I actually resisted dating him in the beginning when he was pursuing me, because I just had this odd gut feeling that once I started, I would never stop. That was Junior year in high school, so it didn't even make sense to feel that way and it  was kind of an intimidating feeling to have.  I wasn't sure I was ready to stop dating casually and having fun! But I finally gave in and said yes, and we've been together ever since, for 10 years!

No. I actually read an article right around the time I met H about how your mind sort of filters out all the nervousness and indecision, so later in life you say, "Yeah, I knew right away!" So while I did have a really good feeling about him when we met, I tried to remember all the uncertainty. Will this work out? Will he like my cat? Will he want kids? Is he really who he says he is? Does he really like me? I mean, this went on for months, because he was living in another country. Man, I'm so glad I'm done with dating and the beginning of relationships!

We met on the internet, so we got to know each other before meeting in person.

Yes I do, my fiance and I met online... we really took our time and talked for weeks before meeting in person.  When we met, it *was* love at first sight for the both of us.  It was the most wonderful first date at Universal City Walk...all 8 hours there.   The rest is history.  :)

I believe at lust at first sight.  And no, I didn't have neither love nor lust at first sight with my FI. We had known each other since elementary school and he was the neighborhood boy with a crush on me. It wasn't till many many years later that I finally agreed for him to take me out. The more time we spent together, the more I fell in love with him.
