Seating charts

Where did you get your seating chart made?  I wasn't sure if the same stationer typically does it or if you have to go some place special for posters.  Also, how last minute can you get?  I hope all guests turn in their cards on time!!!!  I am going to be away two out of the four weeks before the wedding with no phone access, so I was hoping I could get it printed when I get back--a little less than two weeks before the wedding.

I am going to order a digital file from etsy.com then have it printed at staples or kinkos.

We didn't do a seating chart, just assigned tables. It is usually much easier that way and is not so restrictive to your guests on where they can sit.

We are probably going to just assign tables....though we may need to assign seats for ease of distributing meals.  If we do that, we will probably have escort cards, then place cards.

I love the way those seating charts look, but I always worry that people will be clamoring all over it and it'll be a big jumble. But....I've never actually seen it done at a wedding I attended.

i know that staples will print on their wide format printer. technically all you have to do is design it in ppt and turn it into a pdf. i would highly suggest etsy though. they are super fast and just email you the file and you have it printed (a friend did that last summer - beautiful).

We aren't assigning seats, we're assigning tables.  Still we need "charts" printed to let the guests know which table to report to.  We didn't want to do cards.  I will likely just use my stationer.  It is going to be about $125 for one chart and $185 for two she said.  Etsy would've been smart to look into and I still might if this doesn't work out.  It will have the design elements from my invitations, which I'm happy about.

If you end up just getting an image that you'll need printed I highly suggest www.posterbrain.com.  They printed a poster of a photo for me and it was super cheap, fast, and easy.

Hi, you really ought to look at http://www.shortrunposters.com - they print 24x36 custom posters for less than $16 each.
