Alterations

I have a Casablanca dress, 1957 to be exact.  If you take a look at it on their website, you will note the serious beading and embroidery covering it.  I need the bodice taken in and am seriously nervous that it will not be possible without destroying the design!  Does anyone have any suggestions for seamstresses in Southern NH who have possibly worked on Casablanca dresses or with whom they were pleased and/or impressed?

I used Deb at Fit 2b Wed in Kingston and she was fantastic - I can't say enough good things about her. Although my dress wasn't a Casablanca gown, the top of my dress was completely beaded with a very intricate design, and she did a beautiful job of taking my dress in on both sides while keeping the beading looking seamless. Here's a link to her website, which has her contact information as well:  http://www.fit2bwed.com/index.html

I agree that Olga is good!  However, since the dress is at Modern Bride in Bedford, it's just more convenient for us--so we're going to use their alternation services.

Thanks for your help ladies.  I did check out Olga in Nashua, and she seems extremely competant, but I did end up going with someone in MA.  I'm having Fay Carraher in Billerica do my alterations and I love her!
