Could I get your opinion on my menu, please?

Hello, my fiance and I are having an outdoor wedding with buffett dinner starting around 5. I was hoping to get your opinion on the menu I've got planned, and some suggestions for more food.

Here's what we have:
Italian beef
Veggie pizza
Potato Salad
Macaroni Salad
Pasta Salad
Cheese ball
Cheese&pepperoni tray
Vegetable trays
Fruit Trays
Cake

Do these things look okay?
I'd like to add a white meat main dish, and more sides; suggestions for those?

  • What about a carvery turkey, or a hog roast Smile
  • Definitely need some low carb sides with all the pasta and the pizza.  A couple of hot veggies would be nice.
  • I would throw in some veggie sides.  Like maybe grilled corn on the cob or veggie kabobs.

  • I'd add a turkey carving station and a green salad.
  • I don't think you need pasta salad and macaroni salad. I'd choose pasta salad.
  • Veggie kabobs and grilled corn sound great!

I think we'll do grilled chicken tenders for the white meat main dish, the ladies on E came up with that one.

And I'm with you ladies on the carbs and pasta/macaroni/potato salads, but older ladies in FI family would not hear of going without them. So I figured we could just get more variety to balance, rather than cutting them and having to supply some smelling salts for Great Aunt Donna :)

    Thanks for your help!

  • I might swap the macaroni or pasta salad for a veggie salad - there are lots that don't use mayo, so they're ok to keep out for a little while.

Caprese salad (tomato, basil, mozzerella) is really popular and very easy!
