So tonight FI and I are meeting his mom for dinner so we can discuss buying the house from her.  She still needs to give us a price so we can decide if this is what we definitly want to do or not.  Fingers crossed everything goes smooth.

    yay - so exciting!!! will you actually get a mortgage and buy it from her traditionally, or have other arrangements since you all are family?? good luck with everything!!

    We will actually get a mortgage and buy it from her traditionally (at least this is what FI and I are assuming) Unless she somehow surprises us with some big news about it, but I doubt that will happen.
