Honeymoon Question/Checks/Transport Question

A lot all rolled into one convenient post!

FI and I are doing a "mini-moon" right after the wedding, and we'd like to rent a cabin in Asheville (privacy, fall prettyness.) Does anyone know of any good rentals/rental companies up there? Any advice is appreciated, my eyes are going blind from too much googling. :)

Getaway car is booked! We're using Raleigh Wedding Cars, recommended by my planner. Hopefully they will be awesome! (The car is super pretty. ) Downside is, it only accomodates the bride and groom, so next question...

Does anyone have recs for a good car service? We just need to transport the bridal party and groomsmen to the ceremony, and we were thinking an SUV or something (we don't need a limo, and all BMs are coming from out of town and won't really have cars.)

    I've got nothing for you for the Asheville area.

    For the SUVs, could you just cover the cost for a rental or two from a regular rental car company, and let the BM/GM/their dates use those.  You don't need just to the ceremony.  You need to and from both the ceremony and reception.  Don't bring them and then leave them without a planned way home.  Wink

    Hi Pirate Gal, should have mentioned that the ceremony/reception are at the same place, and we've arranged for after-wedding transport for the BMs & GMs (they're all staying different places with different people so we just rounded up family-members to drive them back.) Since the groomsmen and bridal party will all be getting ready in the same location (not where they're staying), and no one has a big enough car to drive us to the ceremony together, I figured it would be easier just to rent something. If we can't find something though I am not opposed to just rounding up some more family members, just want to save myself the complication. :)

    CJ,  My FI and I went on a weekend getaway to the mountains last year.  We stayed at a very quaint cabin about 15 minutes outside of Asheville.  It was called the French Broad River cabin and we found it through Appalachian vacation cabins.  It was rustic, charming and the hot tub was a nice bonus.  (It even snowed while we were there in October!)   http://www.appalachianvacationcabins.com/FrenchBroadRiverCabin.html
