Need emergency officiant!

So we were planning on having our good friend be our officiant (he was going to get ordained online). But now, it looks like he might not be able to attend our wedding! :(

So now we're 3 months out, and in need of an officiant.

I'm presbyterian, so I wouldn't mind having a presbyterian, or maybe unitarian universalist minister, but FI is not Christian, so we'd need someone who would be willing to do a multi-faith ceremony (or at least minimally so).

Would also be open to having a judge, etc.

Any recommendations?

Do you have another friend who could do it instead?  If not, I know there are a bunch on Craigslist.  Good luck!  Don't worry, you have plenty of time.  :)

But why wouldn't you serve ice cream with the cake?

When we picked up our marriage license yesterday they asked if we needed one as they had a list.  I would go to your county government website and see if they have a list online (Pierce does).

You might also check with the Seattle Presbytery office (as one Presbyterian to another) Smile.  I'm sure they can direct you to ministers who would be willing to perfom a ceremony for you.

Ours is from unity church... Karen Lindvig (I think that's how last name is spelled) She is so awesome!! Don't know if you have to regularly attend church or not.

We are in the same boat! Less than 3 months out and still not sure who is going to marry us! It is SO stressful!

Not sure what branch of Christianity he is, as my FI and I don't necessarily go to a specific denomanational church, and the one marrying us is a family friend, but his name is Mike Rohrbach. He's super fun and relaxing to work with and he's very all about making the ceremony what you want. He does require a couple marriage counseling sessions before the wedding. His email is mike@runtowin.org. I know he gets pretty booked during wedding season, but thought I'd throw it out there.

Yike, we're about 2.5 months away and now I'm worried! I probably should have been worried before, but we've been putting this off ... I appreciate seeing these recommendations!

My officiant is Jack Halter.  He is a family friend.  He lives in Kirkland.  His number is 206-371-4410.
    Goodluck!

I am using Rev. Brendan Coleman (http://best.king5.com/rev-brendan-coleman/biz/498321)
There are other nominated officiants on that site too you might want to try!

    Good luck
