How much to pay officiant?

We're getting married in Youngstown, and my priest said he does have a normal stipend amount, but is leaving it up to us as to how much to pay him. He didn't tell us how much the normal stipend amount is.

If you don't mind sharing, how did/are you paying your officiant? I'm just trying to get some ideas so we can make a decision. Thanks!

    I had always heard of providing a donation to the church and also tipping the officiant.  However with the church we went with, we were asked that $200.00 be made out to the reverend.  Hope this helps

    Our church asks for $100 for the church and an additional $100 for the priest.

    Since our officiant is marrying us outside a church, we are giving him $200.

    The officiant fee where we married (church, but we weren't/aren't members) was $150.

    Thanks for your help, girls! The priest said a donation to the church isn't required since I was a member, but we're going to donate anyway. I just had no idea what to pay him. I have a much better idea now, thank you!
