Location help

Ok this may be a long shot. Is anyone familiar with the northeast Wyoming area? I live in Gillette (ugh!) and there isn't a pretty place here. I'm needing suggestions for both the ceremony and reception. We want an outdoor ceremony and I just don't know where to even start.

I would start by looking in the areas west of you near Sheridan, the Big Horns are pretty that early in the summer.  For something truly Wy you could look into Devil's tower...they would at least have picnic sites, but I don't know about catering, etc....

There is a family campground outside of Newcastle that has cabins and lodges for accomidations, as well as traditional campsites. We used to go there for family reunion but I cannot remember the name of it.  It stuck out b/c they have huge kitchen facilities for recpetion preparation. I cannot for the life of me remember its name!!

If you aren't dead set on WY, look into the Black Hills too.  You could a fun weekend wedding in Deadwood, or up near Iron Creek Lake, which is set in a beautiful pine forest....

any HTH and if I or mom can remember the name of that campsite in Newcastle I'll get back you ...

That would be a great help. My fiance's family is mostly in Newcastle. There really aren't many options in the immediate Gillette area.

I would look more west into the Sheridan area, it is beautiful up in the mountains there.  Here are some of my suggestions:

    The Powder Horn Country Club:

    Guest Ranches:
    http://www.spear-o-wigwam.com/

    http://www.canyonranchbighorn.com/

Trust me, you can use the guest ranches without having a "western" flavor if you decorate right.
