What shaking my loves?

On a semi unrelated note, I'm excited that TK has seemed to fix itself. I couldn't get on last night. It was sad how much that frustrated me.

I did zero wedding related things this week. I reallllllyyyy need to call the MUA I scheduled a trial with a change the date. It's quickly approaching and I need it to not be a Thursday night and be on a Saturday instead.

FI on the other hand had wedding on the brain. He ordered his groomsmen gift- customized Louisville Sluggers. He also asked about some budgeting and payment stuff, brought up ordering wedding rings. He also wanted to watch HIMYM wedding episodes. He's so cute.

Also, my ticker is under eight months... do you see the '7'??? It's very exciting. I should be more productive.

I also did zero wedding stuff this past week. I've been really busy at work and haven't had any time for wedding stuff.

Friday I'm going to stop at a huge bridal salon about an hour from me to check out their bridesmaids dresses. None of my girls will be with me because I'm heading out that way to see my grandparents, and I figured while I was in the area I'll check it out and see if they have anything worth hauling my girls out there for.

I also need to stop at the jeweler's, make another payment on our wedding bands, and get
my ring cleaned since my class reunion is this weekend. It needs to be nice and sparkly for showing-off purposes.

Top priority this week is to finish getting addresses so we can start addressing our save the dates (yay!!).

I have done zero wedding related stuff in the past few weeks. FI has been on the ball though with honeymoon stuff. yesterday, he was off from work, and he conta ted our travel agent back and forth and we almost ave it finalized. We are going to Hawii!!!!! Either 10 or 11 days, we are going on Sunday to meet with her and discuss a possible hotel room change and try to add another day on as long as it doesn't bust our budget. We also will be booking one of the most famous luau's, and will be planning a hellicopter trip to Volcano National Park, renting a car to drive the Road to Hana, and he has even been researching different restaurants at different price points. Super excited about that.

What I REALLY need to ge moving on is getting in touch with all my BM's and setting up a time to start looking for dresses, because I have a feeling I'm gonna be really picky. I also need to get moving on hotel blocks and some stuff involved with that.

I have also not accomplished anything this week. I'm still waiting on FI to get addresses for his side of the family so we can send out the Save the Dates. He has a vacation week coming up in the end of October, so I'm hoping that if he doesn't have time to get them now he can at least work on the addresses during his vacay.

I got some stuff accomplished! Ordered necklaces for my girls and filled out all the save the dates and sent them in the mail. We found our invites that we want. so now its just getting everything worded correctly!

So I haven't participated in Wedding Wednesday yet, so here is my brief run down of what I have done: ordered dress which came in today!!, ordered FI's wedding band, purchased DIY invitations, ordered save the dates, met with the caterer and baker to do tastings, set the menu, picked cake flavors for wedding cake and grooms cake, picked design of each, purchased cake topper, signed venue contract, signed photography contract, had e pics taken, registered, selected bridesmaid dresses... I don't think I've missed anything too big. Lol.

I also haven't done very much this week. FI and I are registering tonight at BBB and tomorrow night at Macy's. That is pretty much it, we keep researching for hm stuff. also hopefully finalizing our room block tomorrow.

We signed the contract for our photographer and have our epics scheduled for the 21st. Also have our DJ picked out and I've gotten some more DIY projects started this week. Slowly but surely we're getting a few things done.

Wedding Wednesday... Hmmm I guess I could say that I am working on florist quotes haha. I'm just waiting to hear back from a couple other vendors but I think I have one in mind with who I am going to go with.

Other than that, still on and off about the limo search haha.

We booked our videography this week! After going back and forth for while about whether or not a professional videographer was really that important, we decided just to go for it!

We have plans to register at BBB next weekend since it is the only weekend FI and I have off together between now and Christmas...awesome.

I scheduled my makeup trial for the day that my sister will be shooting our "real" engagement shoot (10/20). I'm excited to see what she will be able to do for my makeup, as well as how it will look on camera!

And I'm also thinking I should probably look for a new florist considering that the one I met with back in August still hasn't gotten me a quote. I email her every few weeks and she keeps telling me that she didn't forget about me, but that she's working on something else and will get back to me "this week". She promised to stay in my very tiny budget so I was really excited, but now I'm realizing that she isn't acting like the most reliable vendor right now, and she doesn't even have my money yet! I'm really upset that I have to start sending out emails to florists, especially because they all are so ridiculously expensive : ( I can't wait to be done with booking these vendors!

I scheduled a trial with a MUA. I've heard she's really really good and she's reasonably priced so I'm pretty excited to see how I come out

The printer brought me a sample of our STD but his art department didn't have one of the fonts I used and I guess the file didn't alert anyone to this issue because when I got the proof back I noticed the font was incorrect. Other than that it looked really good. I sent the font file to him and am waiting on another proof to make sure it looks right and then they'll be printed! Seeing how well the STDs came out I got excited and created the files for my invitation, RSVP card and started the file for the program. FI and I have been talking about first dance songs. We haven't made a decision yet but we're getting closer. FI has another layoff coming up so he'll finish the hangers and his part of the directional signs for the venue. I've been trying to get FI pinned down on his reading for the ceremony but he hasn't made a decision yet. I hope he does that soon because I'd like him to look over vows as well and help me pick a set.
