AW: Rehearsal Dress & Bridal Shower Dress

I got my rehearsal/rehearsal dinner dress and bridal shower dress today, but I'm not sure which is which yet lol! My FI was thinking the red one for the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner and the blue one for the bridal shower. What do you ladies think? I will dress them both up with jewelry and heels, and probably curl my hair.

  • Ooh I really like that blue color on you!!  I think it depends on the location for both of these events.  Is one place dressier than the other?  It seems to me that the blue dress is dressier, but that might just be because its more covered-up.  I like the red too though!

  • I would agree with your FI.  I think both of them are cute, but I think the blue is more for a shower because you won't have straps falling off, etc. while trying to open presents.  Plus, I think the red one is a little more like a summer dress so it would fit the RD better.
  • Someone recently pointed out that you'll have MANY pictures taken of you at the shower while you are sitting down, opening gifts.  Short skirt = Interesting photos

I wouldn't worry about straps...I'd worry about skirt length.

  • I agree with FI. The red would be perfect for the RD because it will be warmer. The blue is prime for your shower esp if its in April when weather may still be cooler. Love both but really love that blue one!!

**Wow good call  ladies about the straps and the dress length! Will definitely keep that in mind!

  • I would say go with your FI the reason is because, he may want to see you red on for the rehersal dinner. Espically if your bridal shower is girls only

  • Thanks for your opinions.  As much as I do like these dresses, I think I am going to save them for other events such as attending weddings, etc.  My mom offered to buy me a dress for my bridal shower and bachelorette party and the ones we've found so far are really cute.  I had just planned on buying them myself because I didn't know she would offer to do that, and she is going out of my budget, so maybe I can get something a little longer too!
