ChristmasThursday Trivia!!

I've been decorating our Christmas Tree at work this morning, and listening to Christmas music so I'm finally in the spirit of things!!

1. What is the must have on your Christmas List?
2. Do you have Turkey or Ham on Christmas?
3. Are you done Christmas Shopping yet?
4. Best Christmas Present you got last year?
5. Who are you most excited about seeing for Christmas?
6. According to some Mathematicians the cost of everything in "12 days of Christmas" this year would be about $211,792.00 (assuming you buy live animals). If you were handed that amount of money and you had to spend it on Christmas Presents but not for yourself, what would you get?

1. What is the must have on your Christmas List? Socks. Our dogs steal them. Also, I'd like some work out clothes.

2. Do you have Turkey or Ham on Christmas? Neither. Christmas Eve we have Sushi and Christmas Day we have TBD

3. Are you done Christmas Shopping yet? No, not even close

4. Best Christmas Present you got last year? H and I bought ourselves and my brother Steeler tickets for the day before Christmas eve

5. Who are you most excited about seeing for Christmas? mom, dad, brother. If I had to pick one, my dad. I'm a daddy's girl.

6. According to some Mathematicians the cost of everything in "12 days of Christmas" this year would be about $211,792.00 (assuming you buy live animals). If you were handed that amount of money and you had to spend it on Christmas Presents but not for yourself, what would you get? Can I say I'd put it in my parent's savings account? My parents are a few years from retirement and I'd love for them to retire early, especially because we will be in the south. Then they could move down there!

1. What is the must have on your Christmas List?
I really really really need a new laptop. Mine broke last January, I've been using my dad's old laptop but it actually belongs to my school and I have 2 online classes next semester and since I'll be going back and forth between my parents house and Our house/apartment, I can't take it with me.. so yeah. I need one bad!!
2. Do you have Turkey or Ham on Christmas?
Usually Turkey because my dad and I like honey baked ham, and my mom hates "sweet" ham in an effort to avoid holiday arguments, we have Turkey.
3. Are you done Christmas Shopping yet?
Not even close!! It's really hard to get H to do anything. I can send him the link, send him a coupon code, but I can't press the buttons for him!!! I still have my sister, my nephew, FIL, and my parents. I have to finish C & my BFF's gifts also..
4. Best Christmas Present you got last year?
H became my Husband!! A week before Christmas, but I say it totally counts!!
5. Who are you most excited about seeing for Christmas?
My sister, niece & nephew!! They're coming up the day after Christmas and staying for like 4 days!! Sooo exciting!!
6. According to some Mathematicians the cost of everything in "12 days of Christmas" this year would be about $211,792.00 (assuming you buy live animals). If you were handed that amount of money and you had to spend it on Christmas Presents but not for yourself, what would you get?
I would get H a new car..
Mom- a super high-tech wine fridge.
Dad- I would pay his tuition to finish his Doctorate..
Sister- New Tires..
Niece- Probably a big gift card cause she's at a weird age and she's a total tom-boy which I cannot relate to..
Nephew- Whatever he wants cause he has my heart<3
MIL- A truck Load of Coal.

1. What is the must have on your Christmas List?
Crest WhiteStrips Professional Effects. I need white teeth!

2. Do you have Turkey or Ham on Christmas?

My Mom often makes ham, but we don't have any set Christmas Day traditions. To be honest, once the presents are opened, it's kind of like any other day. This year, since it's just me and FI, we'll have whatever he wants. Probably mac & cheese or something!

3. Are you done Christmas Shopping yet?

Heh... I guess? I still need to do a lot of Christmas baking! And I need to buy a few gifts for friends.

4. Best Christmas Present you got last year?

My pots & pans. I love them soooo much!

5. Who are you most excited about seeing for Christmas?

Heh... all I get is my FI and my puppy, but I'm excited that we'll all be together for our own little Christmas!

6. According to some Mathematicians the cost of everything in "12 days of Christmas" this year would be about $211,792.00 (assuming you buy live animals). If you were handed that amount of money and you had to spend it on Christmas Presents but not for yourself, what would you get?

I'd pay for my parents to take a trip to Paris, my Dad's parents to go to Ireland for a month, my Mom's Dad & Step-Mom to go to Sweden, and a fancy weekend in NYC for my Mom's Mom & Step-Dad. For my brother, I'd send him and his girlfriend skiing in Switzerland. For FI, I'd buy him a new car and a whole new wardrobe. For my friends, I'd give them gift certificates for their favorite stores.
4. Best Christmas Present you got last year? My KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer!! in LOVE. Posted by amh04
I was trying really hard not to be a brat about the mixer that my mom's BFF got me, but it SUCKS. HARD. The beaters don't touch the bottom so you take it out and you think it's all mixed and then you see like a slimy layer of raw egg.. GROSS. I'm going to take it back, and use the money towards the KitchenAid mixer that I want. I want the Artisan in "Caviar".

1. What is the must have on your Christmas List?
Clothes. I'm slowly rebuilding my wardrobe.
2. Do you have Turkey or Ham on Christmas?
We have ham and chicken. But I don't eat ham.
3. Are you done Christmas Shopping yet?
I guess so. I wasn't planning on buying anyone gifts this year but I ended up getting a couple things for my baby cousins and my 2 sisters.
4. Best Christmas Present you got last year?
Eh. All my presents kinda sucked. Even the one from FI.
5. Who are you most excited about seeing for Christmas?
Well my family is very close so we see each other all the time. I wouldn't be seeing anyone I don't see every week. haha
6. According to some Mathematicians the cost of everything in "12 days of Christmas" this year would be about $211,792.00 (assuming you buy live animals). If you were handed that amount of money and you had to spend it on Christmas Presents but not for yourself, what would you get?
I would give a portion of it to my mom so she can pay off her credit cards and buy herself a new car and fix up the house. I would also give some to my sister so she can pay off her car. I would buy FI a new car and give him the rest of money so we can travel Europe together.
You can probably tell that the majority of them have crappy cars. haha

1. What is the must have on your Christmas List? There isn't anything that I *must have* but we needed help paying for our plane tickets home, so that is my present from both of my sets of parents. 2. Do you have Turkey or Ham on Christmas? Well my family usually makes ham, but I hate ham, so I just eat the apps, sides, and sweets! 3. Are you done Christmas Shopping yet? Uhhh...barely begun. Too poor right now. 4. Best Christmas Present you got last year? Visa gift cards from family so that we could buy furniture for our first home together. 5. Who are you most excited about seeing for Christmas? My momma! She is one of my best friends! 6. According to some Mathematicians the cost of everything in "12 days of Christmas" this year would be about $211,792.00 (assuming you buy live animals). If you were handed that amount of money and you had to spend it on Christmas Presents but not for yourself, what would you get? Well first I would buy some nice, but needed things for my immediate family. Example, a crib for my sisters baby due in the spring. Then I would donate the rest to shelters/food pantries/gift trees (e.g. Toys for Tots).

1. What is the must have on your Christmas List? I found a garnet ring that I am dying for. That is what I am hoping H gets me. I have always wanted a garnet ring for years because after all it is one of the colors of the USC Gamecocks. That way I can show my pride every day. I also made it super easy on H and sent him the link. J

2. Do you have Turkey or Ham on Christmas? We are getting a Honey Baked Ham. I think they actually put drugs in that ham because once you starting eating it there is no stopping.

3. Are you done Christmas Shopping yet? Almost. I still have a couple of things yet to get.

4. Best Christmas Present you got last year? A blanket that H gave me. It is a down blanket from LL Bean. I seriously love it and so do the dogs. Every day I find one of them cuddled up with it.

5. Who are you most excited about seeing for Christmas? Since I get to see everyone a lot, I am going to say that I am most excited to NOT see. That would be one of my cousins, his wife and my aunt.

6. According to some Mathematicians the cost of everything in "12 days of Christmas" this year would be about $211,792.00 (assuming you buy live animals). If you were handed that amount of money and you had to spend it on Christmas Presents but not for yourself, what would you get? I would take my mom to see both the USC and Iowa bowl games. I would make a week of it. I would also host a big celebration when H comes home for leave and fly all of his friends out to see him and give them a golfing weekend. Oh I think I just over spent. HA

1. What is the must have on your Christmas List? The 11-inch memory foam mattress from my parents... All I asked for was a mattress topper, they went above and beyond and I can't wait! 2. Do you have Turkey or Ham on Christmas? Um, sometimes ham but lately we do "non-traditional" food, like my dad's shrimp and grits. Yum. 3. Are you done Christmas Shopping yet? Halfway there!!! 4. Best Christmas Present you got last year? I'm struggling to remember what I got last year. How sad is that? 5. Who are you most excited about seeing for Christmas? My FI!!!! :-) 6. According to some Mathematicians the cost of everything in "12 days of Christmas" this year would be about $211,792.00 (assuming you buy live animals). If you were handed that amount of money and you had to spend it on Christmas Presents but not for yourself, what would you get? I would pay off my parents' house, buy FI a car, and take the whole family (mine and his) to Disney World. Whatever is left over, I would split between our parents.

1. What is the must have on your Christmas List?
Nothing really this year. H and I will be spending it alone since I can't travel so close to my due date and neither of us are gift people, so we rarely exchange gifts. I would actually like one full night of sleep without getting up 4 times to pee. (if that counts?)

2. Do you have Turkey or Ham on Christmas? When my whole side is together, we have both. When it's his side, it's a bunch of Filipino dishes (apparently there are no turkeys in the Philippines).

3. Are you done Christmas Shopping yet? Haven't even started. :/

4. Best Christmas Present you got last year? Our trip to the Philippines to visit H's family.

5. Who are you most excited about seeing for Christmas? It's just going to be the 2 of us, but if she comes early, I'm most excited about seeing our baby girl.

6. According to some Mathematicians the cost of everything in "12 days of Christmas" this year would be about $211,792.00 (assuming you buy live animals). If you were handed that amount of money and you had to spend it on Christmas Presents but not for yourself, what would you get? I'm with Hike on this one. We'd split it between our parents.

1. What is the must have on your Christmas List? I don't have one thing I'm obsessed with, but I do really want to use Christmas money to buy myself the West Wing box set. My totally out of the price range thing is this awesome garnet ring I found, but it's entirely too much.
2. Do you have Turkey or Ham on Christmas? Ham. Or lamb. I am not a turkey fan.
3. Are you done Christmas Shopping yet? Pretty much everything is envisioned and on lists, now it must be bought. In terms of paid for, FMIL, FBIL, and my Mom are done.
4. Best Christmas Present you got last year? My Joan from Mad Men Barbie. Don't judge me.
5. Who are you most excited about seeing for Christmas? I'm really hoping we get to go to my Mom's family and do 'Dirty Santa'.
6. According to some Mathematicians the cost of everything in "12 days of Christmas" this year would be about $211,792.00 (assuming you buy live animals). If you were handed that amount of money and you had to spend it on Christmas Presents but not for yourself, what would you get? I would pay off FI's car and probably trade it in for a new one. And then split it between my Mom and Dad. They've both done so much for me.

I would give it to my parents. They've done so much for me and I put them through so much in the past that I would love for them to have some cushion in their savings and be able to pay things off and just enjoy life a little more comfortably.

Great post, sami!!

1. What is the must have on your Christmas List?
I didn't make a Christmas list this year, lol. I have so much going on- but as for things I'd really like to have; an ugi ball and a dipstation (like they use on bodyrock.tv workouts); I have a sandbag and I love it! My "must haves" were a battery and new power supply cord for my laptop (but I ordered them already because I can't really even wait for Christmas- my computer dies as soon as it's unplugged, and there's a short in my charger, so my computer will just randomly turn off. not cool!)

2. Do you have Turkey or Ham on Christmas?
Usually ham- but I loved what hike said- I want sushi!

3. Are you done Christmas Shopping yet?
No, still have to buy gifts for one of my sisters and my FMIL

4. Best Christmas Present you got last year?
My Creative Memories scrapbooking software for my computer along with thier memory manager photo sorting software. I love it! I am going to make my own wedding album and my own mom gifts using it; and I can do custom calendars as gifts, and make our own custom Christmas cards... and.... everything! haha. I love it.

5. Who are you most excited about seeing for Christmas?
FI!!! and my FBIL is coming from Michigan to join us, so that will be neat. After December, FI and I will only see each other 3 (possibly 4) times before our Mid-May wedding.

6. According to some Mathematicians the cost of everything in "12 days of Christmas" this year would be about $211,792.00 (assuming you buy live animals). If you were handed that amount of money and you had to spend it on Christmas Presents but not for yourself, what would you get?
I'd pay off my parent's debt and get them a new car. I would help FFIL with his medical bills (he has Cancer). I would help my sisters pay for school.

-If I could, I would buy H's contract from the Navy! lol I don't think I can though so I would buy H his Camaro and the motorcycle he's been wanting. We'll split the money between our parents and give our siblings some really nice gifts. If there is leftover, it will go straight to our savings!
