Fortune Cookies Favor

There is a fortune cookie company in town and for a plain fortune cookie it's somewhere around $0.55 each, for flavored (which also includes a color) it's about $0.79 each.  Thing is with these you can choose up to 5 different sayings of whatever you want on the inside.

BUT I figured out a way to get the plain vanilla ones, they all will say "thank you for attending our wedding" i figured I could get the chocolate and sprinkles and jazz them up with our colors (Gray, Green & Ivory) and put them in individual bags with ribbons with a little gift tag size note inside that says something more personal.

I figured out how to get all of this UNDER the $0.55 each.  NOW HERE's THE THING- my Fiance dislikes fortune cookies and is in belief that no one else likes them either although he does agree it's unique..

Do you think this is a good idea?
If you dislike fortune cookies would this entice you to have one if it had chocolate etc?
Would you be apt to leave it and not take it?

I appreciate the opinions. :)

We will probably order fortune cookies from Oriental Trading Company for our wedding.  He thought that it would be different and I agreed.

    Thanks for your input!

@Phone Card- that's where we were looking too- their bags and stuff are so reasonable we were going to get white melting chocolate and use our coupons and decorate them to make them more decorative to match our wedding theme.

These silver fortune cookies are neat. Not edible of course, but they would last forever. http://weddingbabyfavors.theaspenshops.com/fortune-cookie-place-card-holder.html I think tinyprints had a goos orice on the personalized edible ones :)

Yes, I saw these and will be asking Dan about them.  It's a possibility.
