Don't you love all the TK acronyms?

I've seen other boards [mostly the month ones] talk about in real life get togethers.

Would you ever consider it? I wonder how that would work logsitically since we live throughout the countries.

I could see it working regionally. The Bee has meet ups in major cities fairly regularly (there's one in NYC for the screening of a new movie) and I would love to get to one in DC or Richmond.

I would totally do that, but my guess is they would have to be regional or if you happened to be in a city where other knotties were located, you could have one.

I have a friend who is on the June 2011 board and they are planning a GTG and apparently people are planning on coming in from all across the country! I would be interested in a regional thing or if I could tie it in to vacation (ie we all met up at Disney World...just throwing it out there

I would be willing to do a regional GTG, however, especially with wedding expenses and life, I know I wouldn't be able to afford anything else. It'd be great to be able to meet some of you ladies in person.

I say we should plan one for next year in july

that way, we all have a over a year to plan and save post wedding, AND it won't interfere with our one year anniversary plans

I've been to one on my local that included a reg from E. We had lots of fun. I think it can be done if plan accordingly. I've seen some knotties mention they are going to be in X on certain days and knotties that live in that area or close to it meet up with them. I think IRL relationships have a lot to do with GTG.

I want to come!! I can drive/take a train to Philly, DC and NYC. Boston is a bit far, and I think I'd feel itchy being near so many Red Sox fans...

I think it is a good idea for regional.

I know we had talked about doing this with some of the MA, NH and RI girls in this group. Maybe we should start trying to find a date for this again?

Just throwing it out the, but I will be in MD from the 20-24 of February for training at my new job.

My local board does them often and I try to go to every one that I can. I would love it if we could all do a GTG but sadly I don't think that it is possible.

I know, but than I'd be worried FI would piss people off since I don't travel alone and I'd have to find my way around and bail him out =)

Nilda, I'd be game on for something in NYC if we have enough time to plan. FI and I go into the city more than we should for how far away we live.

I know the local board does one, but I haven't been to my local board in months. Last time I was on there it seemed like they would jump down your throat for every and any little thing. It was over the top ridiculous at some points. I would love to do one, but it would have to be in a somewhat convenient location.

It's gotten better. You should DEFINITELY come to a GTG. I'm usually the one that plans them. Where would be a convenient location for you?

I posted and then got crazy busy today...

I love the enthusiasm. I'm all for planning a NYC GTG. I'll bring it up again once we're all done with weddings, perhaps this fall.

I want to...I wish I lived closer to any of y'all. The only place even realistic for me would be Atlanta, and that's still like 3 hours (I think?) from me. Alabama sucks...
