  I know what you mean, but try not to second-guess yourself too much. I think any wedding decision, offbeat or not, is great if:
  
  -it comes from the heart, and
  -you keep the comfort of your guests in mind

  I never thought I was too offbeat, my family memebers hated my ideas when I told them. After the weddiing they told me how great it actually turned out. A lot of people told me that our wedding was the most fun and most beautiful they've ever seen, no one could believe I did all the little details myself, and that made me so happy.

  I had written the same post you did about a couple of months before my wedding. I followed my heart (keeping guests comfort in mind) and everything turned out just the way DH & I wanted. I think it's normal to have some second guessing for offbeat brides. The wedding industry has it so ingrained in our heads that a wedding should have a certain look/feel to it. Stay true to yourself & your FI and you will be so happy that you did.

  I have not second guessed any of my off beat ideas.  I want a wedding to be fun and enjoyable, not a ceremony that will be stressful and unpleasnt for me.  In my case that means planning a theme wedding and having a colored wedding dress.  For you, a fun memorable wedding may mean something different, but as long as it is what will make you and your partner happy then you should go for it.

  Thanks everyone, I totally appreciate you comments. I feel much better hearing all your comments because that is exactly how I feel,. The ideas that I have are based on my fiance and I and my guest will be comfortable therefore it should be good. Thanks again everyone!
