Baby Shower...Rude?

Is it rude to put where you're registered in a baby shower invite if the invite is through FB? Or at that point, does it just not matter anymore? 

My cousin, whom I haven't seen in probably 4-5 years at least, invited me to her baby shower through FB. I'm one of nearly 80 potential guests.

    ha.. nice. Is that the kind of person she is or what? And no, if it's a FB invite it already started off as rude..

    You can put the registry info on a Wedding Shower invite...why not a baby shower invite? The FB invite is tacky though. And the 80 person guest list does scream, "give me stuff!" So a few broken points of etiquette, but I think the regstry is the least of her faux pas.

    Inviting 80 people via facebook is rude. She also shouldn't have been the one inviting people - just like a wedding shower, someone is supposed to throw it for you.

    But no, the registry is not rude or poor etiquette - just like a wedding shower, it's listed on the invitation so people know what you need for baby.

    If someone hosts a baby shower for you, it's okay if  they include where you are registered.

    It's rude to host your own shower, baby, bridal or any other type

    Where is it being hosted?  Is it an actual sit down dinner?  Sometimes I think people just do not realize how tacky FB invites for important events are or they could just be the kind of people who do not see in spending money on paper invites when they could instead have a slightly nicer location for the shower. 

    But I do think FB invites for a shower are tacky and rude.

    How far away is it?  I think FB invitations are pretty stupid for things like this, but I've seen it done.  For my friend's baby shower, her SIL hosted and sent out invites on FB as soon as they had the date set.  They were followed up with actual paper invitations for everyone, including those who already received a FB invite.  She said the FB thing was sort of a save-the-date for the shower.  Weird, but I get it.

    I don't know ANY details about it except that it's at her mother's house. Her mother (my cousin, so technically it's my second cousin's baby shower) instant messaged me on FB asking me to come. I probably will. It's a bit of a drive, but I do really like her mom and haven't seen her for a while.

    I have just about no relationship with my second cousin, however. The last time I talked to her she was probably 14-15?
