Summer Budget Wedding

The wedding is in July in Springfield Ohio. For the reception I want black table linens, white chair covers. For the centerpiece 10x30” Cylinder Crystal vase with water, and submerged flower and a floating candle. And silk yellow rose petals, crystal confetti and smaller candles surrounding the vase. I want it to look nice but we are on a tight budget. Anyone know where we can find rental linens and chair covers for a good price? And the vases and candles?  We also need help looking for elegant disposable dinnerware. Any ideas?

  • honestly I would try to buy used linens, it will so much cheaper it will have a little more work, but typically more work means cheaper! I bought chair covers with sashes, table clothes, and napkins for around 500 dollars so 2.5 dollars a person! Also look on recycledbride and the classified section i have found really good deals on used stuff, like glassware and lanterns for our centerpieces!!!
  • Look at the Oriental Trading Catalogue for centerpiece stuff. They have a lot and it's fairly inexpensive, including silk flower petals, vases, floating candles, and a lot of the stuff you described for the centerpieces. We haven't used them for wedding stuff, but my mom ordered everything for every birthday party and graduation from them and we've never been disapointed.

  • I am ordering my linens off linentablecloth.com...I found it was cheaper to buy them there than rent them from the place I'm renting the china. I know you asked about nice disposable stuff, but you may end up paying just as much to buy disposable as to rent china if that would be something you're interested in! I second Flower Factory and also, you should look on Dollar Trees website! I am buying my cylindar vases from them for $1 a piece. I am also on a tight budget. The easiest way I have found to manage the budget is to decide whats more important to me and then scrimp and save on the others. For instance, I splurged on a dress that was out of my budget, but I found a venue that lets me bring my own alcohol and catering so I am saving money that I can apply to my dress budget! If your centerpieces are important, splurge on them but maybe dial back on something else! Most importantly, research, research, RESEARCH! Find as many different prices as you can by looking online and calling around to make sure you are getting the absolute best deal! These ladies on here are a GREAT resource! :) Good Luck...being a budget bride is hard work!
